Loving Learning at Every Age
Our teachers and staff are guided by a Kindergarten Preparatory curriculum, which is based on the Indiana Academic Standards. Daily lessons for 3, 4, and 5 year old students consist of several academically oriented goals, including:
- recognizing sight words, rhyming words, and opposites
- recognizing numbers and understanding simple math
- recognizing their own name and writing it
- knowing colors, shapes, and sequential sizes
In addition to the ‘basics’, we offer students a range of gross motor and creative opportunities including story time, creative and imaginitive playtime, and early exposure to international languages such as Spanish. We strive to include enrichment activities that extend our students knowledge and understanding of the world outside the classroom. Each year, our preschool students take several field trips to area events, working businesses and other local places of interest.
We are also committed to parent education. For interested parents, we offer a number of opportunities throughout the year to help you better understand and support your children’s development.
